The Town hall once built allows you to view statistics about your village under the Population and Economy tabs in the sidebar, as well as control whether or not migration into your village is allowed.
The Town hall is an upgraded version of the Camp Center, and allows you to change worker wages and rents. Once the Town hall has been built, the Camp Center is dismantled.
The town hall is where you manage the hiring of your Mayor and Counselors. Both these positions require an education of at least 1. The Mayor is responsible for managing your town wages, market stall prices, and house rent (according to how you set them) as well as allowing new families to migrate to your town.
Currently only one Counselor can be hired, who is responsible for managing Seasonal hiring of buildings in your village. With seasonal hiring, you may set which months of the year count as the "Off-season" and the "On-season", and choose how many workers you want in that building during that season. One example of a good use of this is to set the "off-season" for a fishing dock as December through February, as no fishing can occur during these months anyway, so you may set the "off-season" workers to 0.
Sidebar[]
Population[]
The population tab shows a histogram of your town population demographics, your Town's Wealth distribution, village statistics like number of villagers and animals in the town, and the Migration status values. Migration status is dependent on:
- Migration is allowed or disallowed
- Water supply is sufficient or insufficient
- Enough food for sale or Not enough
- Housing is available or No housing is available
- Jobs available or No jobs available
- Religious needs are satisfied or Religious needs are not satisfied
Any one of these factors not being satisfied will prevent new villagers from moving to your town.
Economy[]
The economy tab displays stats on all your current Resources in game for the current year and the prior year.
Statistics about your towns resources included are:
- Stored (current)
- Produced (current year and prior)
- Spent (current year and prior)
- Sold (current year and prior)
- Exported (current year and prior)
- Imported (current year and prior)
The economy also displays a money balance sheet for the current year to date and the previous year, breaking down the sources of income and expenses.
Listed sources of income are:
- Housing Rent, from citizens living in your town
- Local Sales, from sales at Market Stalls
- Exports, sales made to other towns at the Trading post
Listed expenses are:
- Imports, purchases made from other towns at the Trading post
- Salaries, wages paid to your workers, managers, and laborers
- Messengers, costs paid to have messengers from other towns visit
- Financial Help, direct payments made to citizens
Wage Control[]
The Town hall has the added functionality over the Camp Center of being able to control the wages of your workers and managers (with a managers wage being 50% higher than a standard workers wage), laborers, Market products price as a percentage of the base price (0.10 per item), and Village house rent.
Purchase from citizens price controls the rate you pay villagers for their home-grown produce. 100% corresponds to paying them 0.1 per piece of produce.
